"History of the Party From The Brain Cells That Are Still Alive"
by Rod McManamy.

During the early to mid-1990s, there were band concerts in the main body of the lake. They started at 11pm & lasted until 4:00am. The late start was due to the fact that the (regionally) famous Swing Crew band first performed in the Dells and then rushed over to Lake Redstone.

  • There was a 24'x 32' dance floor built on one of the pontoon boats.

  • There was a port-a-potty on another boat.

  • The band sometimes hopped from boat to boat for the added thrill of everyone involved.

  • T-shirts were sold.

  • It ended in 1996 when it became "too big" & the insurance costs, became too much.
